Popular Esports Betting Markets
Understanding your markets is half the battle. These are the ones Malaysian bettors use most on V12MY esports betting:
- Match Winner (Moneyline): Simply pick which team wins the series. The easiest place to start.
- Map/Game Handicap: Back a favourite to win by a map margin (e.g. -1.5 maps) for better odds.
- Total Maps Over/Under: Bet whether a Bo3 or Bo5 goes the distance.
- First Blood / First Tower: In-game props popular in Dota 2 and MLBB.
- Correct Score: Predict the exact map scoreline for higher payouts.
Esports momentum shifts fast. A team down an early map can roar back — use live odds to grab value when the crowd overreacts to one losing round.

Tips for Smarter Esports Bets
Esports rewards homework. A few habits that help:
- Follow the meta: Patches change which heroes, agents, and strategies dominate. A roster that excelled last patch may struggle after an update.
- Check recent form: Head-to-head records and roster changes matter more than big-name reputation.
- Watch stand-ins: A benched star or last-minute substitute can wreck a favourite's chances.
- Bet with a budget: Set a fixed RM limit per week and stick to it. Chasing losses is the fastest way to tilt.
- Specialise: Know one game deeply rather than spreading thin across five.
